About Us
Highly Skilled Caregivers at Your Service
Senior Desires Home Care is the most reliable Home Care Agency in the bay area. Our caregivers provide the best home care services and cater to the specific needs of each client. We bring high quality care right to your home providing non-medical assistance your loved requires.
This is accomplished by meeting with the client and family members and completing a detailed assessment identifying their care plan and specific needs for daily care and quality of life.
To ensure peace of mind; we have a comprehensive screening process to match the best caregiver with their care plan. Each one of these individuals is bonded, insured, covered by worker's compensation and has successfully passed a complete criminal background check. Their training includes a specialized non-medical eldercare curriculum. Through one-on-one interviews, screening, and back ground checks we will setup a family introduction to provide the best match.
We are NOT in charge, YOU are! We're here to support you not change your life. Because we are a non-medical, custodial care agency and not a nursing agency, Senior Desires will not dictate to you what your schedule is to be (i.e. what time to get up, when to bathe, meal schedules etc.). Our caregivers follow the care plan to ensure the client remains comfortable in their home.
Companion Care
Companion care is a form of home care offering non-medical services to older adults or people with disabilities. Companion care differs from personal care in that personal care aides (also known as home health aides) may provide the same services as companion care but also help with tasks such as bathing, dressing, and medication management, depending on specific state regulations. The goal of companion care is primarily emotional support and socialization, although companions may help older adults with a variety of tasks including:
-
Light housekeeping
-
Other household chores such as washing clothing and dishes
-
Running errands such as grocery shopping
-
Planning and scheduling appointments and social activities
-
Transportation to appointments and other activities
-
Preparing meals
-
Socialization and entertainment
-
Communicating with family members and other care team professionals
Personal Care
Personal care and general hygiene in the elderly may become more challenging and standards may slip relative to those that were adhered to for years. Caregiver's can be called on to provide the day to day support to help an elderly person live as independently as possible while offering the utmost respect and privacy to maintain their dignity. Personal Care provides some of the following:
-
Assistance getting out of bed in the morning
-
Help with washing and dressing
-
Support with toileting / incontinence
-
Assisting with moving and handling
-
Skin and pressure care
-
Pre-bedtime care and support in the evenings
